Lady Cardinals beat Ashland; boys knock off Hickory Flat

The Potts Camp Lady Cardinals began the post-holiday portion of their basketball schedule with a win over a Region 2-1A rival.
Coach Brad Wren’s team won a thriller, 58-57, over Ashland on Tuesday night of last week at home.
“Our girls worked hard and pulled out a win, and I couldn’t be prouder,” he said. “It’s a big division win for us, and we’re just focusing on continuing to improve and being the best we can be in February.”
The game was close throughout.
The Lady Cardinals led the Lady Blue Devils 11-9 after the first quarter, 23-22 at halftime and 41-39 at the end of the third.
