Indians down 6A Southaven to start season

The Byhalia Indians got their 2016-2017 basketball season off to a strong start.

They faced Southaven Saturday in the Olive Branch Classic and downed the Chargers 73-59.

“To win our opening game at a neutral site versus a 6A school, it feels good,” coach James Sales said.

“But we have to improve. We missed too many free throws, 13, and we had 15 turnovers. Maybe we got the jitters out of the way.”
