Indians dominate district foe Tigers

• Go for playoff berth Friday

Ripley got a steady dose of Charles Powell and Yaphat Hearn Thursday night.

And they came from different positions at times – quarterback and running back.

“It was hard for them to adjust defensively,” said John Danley, head coach of the Byhalia Indians. “They didn’t see it on film.

“It gave us another dimension – Powell’s ability to run and throw and Hearn is probably the best runner of the three.”

The third is Lataryl Daughtery, who also had his share of big runs in the Indians’ 35-10 win.
