Holly High sweeps Byers
One of the oldest rivalries in Marshall County advanced to a new basketball season Friday night.
H.W. Byers welcomed Holly Springs for intra-county contests.
The Lady Hawks had no trouble in the first game of the evening, coasting to a 64-4 win.
At the start of the first, the Holly High girls went into some fast-paced action. Camee Faulkner led the way in this frame by scoring nine points. And teammate Shretta Jeffries was the first to score for the Lady Hawks with a two. The Holly High girls were applying extreme pressure at times, causing Byers to commit several turnovers. The Lady Lions were scoreless as the first expired. It was 20-0.
