Holly High picks up holiday wins

The Holly Springs Hawks picked up a pair of big wins prior to Thanksgiving and then split against a couple of tough foes after the holiday.

At home on Friday night, Nov. 22, coach Kenzaki Jones’ Class 3A team knocked off Class 6A Southaven 59-51. “It was a great team win,” he said. “The guys played together and fought hard all night.”

The Hawks out-rebounded the Chargers 33-31. Ded’derick Faulkner grabbed seven.

Holly High built a 31-22 halftime advantage.
