Holly High falls to Biggersville; Devils rally to beat Corinth

Both the Holly Springs and Ashland boys played in the Biggersville Christmas Classic Saturday, Dec. 17, with different results.

The Hawks suffered from poor shooting and “turnover-itis” in a 60-52 loss to the host school, the Lions.

Coach Sylvester Kilgore said his Class 3A team struggled versus the Class 1A school with a rich basketball tradition. Both the Hawks and Lions were state tournament participants a year ago.

“Our lack of consistent defense, along with a cold shooting night, left us with only two double figure scorers,” Kilgore said.
