Hayes places third in MAIS State Meet

The Mississippi High School Activities Association and Mississippi Association of Independent Schools sponsor the State Track Meet this weekend.

Henry Hayes, of Marshall Academy, brought home three MAIS 4A track medals.

Hayes placed third in the 300-meter hurdles, fifth in the 100-meter hurdles, and sixth in the 200-meter dash.

Six students from Potts Camp High School qualified in the 2A MSHAA track and field.

The Cardinals team members placed as follows:

• Bianca Woods, 4th place high jump – final 4.08.00

• Malasha Faulkner, 7th in 200-meter dash with a time of 27.39

• JaMrie Faulkner, 5th place shot put – final 29.09.00

• Zy Hamer, 6th place triple jump – final 40-10.75

• Tae Jones, 7th place triple jump – final 40.00.25; 7th place long jump – final 20-01.75
