Hawks receive awards

Coach Sylvester Kilgore handed out boys basketball honors for the 2025-26 season during a Holly Springs High School athletic awards assembly to wrap up the school year.

Recipients included – Christopher Hale, Best Offense, Most Assists, Best ThreePoint Shooter and Most Steals; Jaylen Cassidy, Best Defense and Most Blocks; Josiah Johnson, Hustle Award; Karlo Strickland, Best Sportsmanship; Derwin Hamer, Best Sixth Man; Jeremiah Dowdy, Best Rebounder, Rookie of the Year and Highest GPA; Dawan Malone Jr., Best Free Throw Percentage, Iron Man Award; J.T. Pegues, Iron Man Award.

Making the All-District 2-3A Team were Christopher Hale, Jaylen Cassidy, Jeremiah Dowdy and Dawan Malone Jr. Best Defensive Player in District 2-3A went to Jeremiah Dowdy. Karon Finley received Honorable Mention District 2-3A recognition. Recognized on the All-Tournament District 2-3A Team were Christopher Hale and Jeremiah Dowdy.
