Hawks open with upset of 6A foe

The Holly Springs Hawks picked up a huge win to begin the new basketball season.
They were invited to the Olive Branch Classic Saturday night to face the host team and left DeSoto County with a 77-67 victory.
“We displayed high character, stuck together in a very intense environment and took advantage of the opportunities presented,” said Sylvester Kilgore, head coach of the Class 3A Hawks.
