Hawks lose by two

Holly Springs basketball teams lost their season openers Saturday, both versus Horn Lake but at different locations.
The 3A Hawks let a close one slip from their grasps, falling 52-50 to the 6A Eagles at the Southaven Classic.
“I congratulate the victors,” coach Sylvester Kilgore said. “Horn Lake took advantage of our mistakes and our poor free-throw shooting, plus they out-rebounded us.”
