Hawks end year with loss to Dragons

Injuries to players at two key positions hampered Holly Springs’ efforts Friday night.

The Hawks dropped their last game of the season, 26-0, to M.S. Palmer at Sam Coopwood Park. It was a Region 2-3A match-up.

Quarterback Dylan King was injured in practice last week and tried to play but couldn’t. Center Anthony Gulledge was injured in the second quarter.

“Defensively, we played well in the game,” coach Donald Deans said. “Offensively, it was hard to recover from those key injuries.
