Gold medal winner

Jamiya Yarbrough, a seventh grader at Holly Springs Junior High School, won a gold medal in the Special Olympics Summer Games 2025 at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi on Saturday, May 10. Her first-place win was in the 50-yard dash, and she also received a fourth-place ribbon in the softball throw.

She said she had a fun time in Biloxi and enjoyed representing her school. Her teacher at Holly Springs Junior High School is Patricia Waldrop.
