Dailey commits to South Alabama
A former three-sport star at Marshall Academy has committed to play baseball for the University of South Alabama.
Dakota Dailey, a sophomore at Northwest Community College, announced last week he will next play for the Jaguars.
“I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me in Mobile, Ala.,” Dailey said. “I can’t thank my family, friends and coaches enough.”
As of March 29, the second baseman was hitting .339 for the Rangers with 21 hits, including six doubles, four home runs and a triple. He has scored 22 runs and has 12 runs-batted-in. His slugging percentage was .661 and on-base percentage .447. He was four for four on stolen-base attempts. His fielding percentage stood at .934.
