Championship Weekend

We had Jared Goff, quarterback for the Detroit Lions, facing Brock Purdy, quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, for the National Football Championship. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Lavon Mahomes vs. Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson sounds much more reasonable. Though, to be fair, Goff/Purdy was the better matchup of the day.

In the American Football Conference divisional round, Baltimore had to shake off their rust quickly to keep the Houston Texans from controlling the game a week ago. Coming out slow against the reigning National Football League champs was definitely something one could avoid. The red-hot Kansas City Chiefs once again dominated their opponent in the postseason on their quest for yet another championship. Arguably, the greatest quarterback/receiver duo ever are Kansas City Chiefs Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. Now that the Super Bowl is set, it will be a classic game between two teams at the top of the league for almost the last five seasons.
