The Marshall County Americans won the Mississippi North State Championship Sunday at J.P. Hudson Park in Batesville. They advanced to the State Tournament (for 10 year olds) on Monday of this week. The Americans went 4-0 in the North State event, beating Senatobia 14-1 in the first round, Hernando 18-2, Oxford 9-4 and then Senatobia again in the title game, 14-2.
