Cards first in regional

The Potts Camp boys ran away from the pack during the Region 1-1A Track Meeet Saturday at Center Hill.
The Cardinals racked up 212 points to win the championship. Second was Myrtle with 92, which means Potts Camp outdistanced the nearest competitor by 120 points. Ashland was third with 64.
The Potts Camp girls placed second overall. They had 107 points to first-place Myrtle’s 188. Thrasher was third with 44.
Several Potts Camp, H.W. Byers and Ashland athletes will advance to the Class 1A North State Meet this Saturday at Winona after placing in the top four of various events at the regional.
