Potts Camp started strongly Friday night and “hung in there,” according to head coach Markeith Washington, before visiting West Memphis Christian (Ark.) pulled away.
“I’m proud of my guys,” he said. “They’re not giving up, no matter the adversity they face.”
He had to make a few changes defensively due to injuries.
“We slowed them down but we couldn’t stop them,” Washington said.
The Black Knights, after the game was tied at 14 in the first quarter, scored 34 unanswered points for the 48-14 win over the Cardinals.
