Cards dominate Rebels

Potts Camp is buzzing after the thrilling victory in the battle of I-78. But the Cardinals know they still have work and a long season ahead.

The Cardinals welcomed the Thrasher High School Rebels for a Friday night battle on the gridiron. The Rebels to a 16-0 lead in the first quarter. The slow start from the Cardinals turned into a landslide ending, scoring 41 unanswered points and dominating the game with a final score of 41-16.

Palmer beats Byhalia, 30-14

The Palmer Dragons scored 30 points and restricted the visiting Byhalia Indians to 14 points in the Dragons non-district victory Friday.

The Byhalia Indians will play Hernando Tigers in a non-district battle Sept. 15. The Indians will attempt to advance on their 1-2 season record.
