Cards blank Rebels

Markeith Washington referred to an old football saying Saturday morning when summing up Potts Camp’s victory the night before.

“It’s just good looking for a win on Friday night, but it’s better waking up Saturday morning knowing you found one,” the coach said.

The Cardinals bounced back from a loss in week one of the season and dominated Hickory Flat 42-0.

“We executed well,” Washington said. “We made some adjustments from our last game. We didn’t get to play a jamboree (due to rain) so we had to work out some kinks after that first game.”
