Cardinals second in North State

The Potts Camp boys had a strong showing in the North 1A Track and Field Meet Saturday, finishing second to Tupelo Christian Preparatory School.

The Cardinals racked up 142 points, 20 behind the Eagles with 162. Simmons was third with 73, Coffeeville fourth with 70 and Ashland fifth with 36.

Athletes from 17 schools competed in the North State event held at Potts Camp.

Several Cardinals and Lady Cardinals, plus athletes from Hickory Flat, Ashland and H.W. Byers, placed in the top four in various events and will be moving on to the State 1A Meet this weekend at Pearl.
