Cardinals knock off Walnut for third

The Potts Camp Cardi­nals moved on in the playoffs with a third-place finish in the District 1-2A Tourna­ment at Mantachie.

The Cards visited Riverside on Tuesday night of this week in the first round of the state tourney.

Mitchell Saulsberry was the main man Friday night in the consolation contest of the district tourney.

He scored 22 points, grabbed nine rebounds and had three steals as Potts Camp beat Walnut 68-54 for the third spot.
