Cardinals historic season comes to an end
After coming off the best season in school history and winning their first playoff game, the Potts Camp Cardinals will keep moving in the right direction.
The Cardinals, who had the home-field advantage, welcomed the West Lowndes Panthers for a Friday night win-or- go-home game.
The Panthers scored first, taking an early 6-0 lead after returning a kick for a touchdown. The Cardinals scored six points in the second quarter, but the Panthers scored again, leading the first half 12-7.
The Cardinals scored eight points to the Panther’s six in the fourth quarter. The Panthers defeated the Cardinals with a final score of 24-15.
After a successful season, coach Daniels looks to continue building his success at his new home.
“Thank you doesn’t even begin to cover how grateful I am. Thank you for being the reason I smile. Thank you for being you. Thank you for brightening my world. You believed in me,” said Daniels. “Thank you for being an important part of my story. I can not even begin to explain how much that means to me. When I stop to count my blessings, you are always on my list. God often sends his blessings through the thoughtful people he brings into our lives. Some people have a way of making you feel grateful. Each and every one of you does that. I so look forward to seeing the great men and fathers you will become. Again, thank you for everything.”
