Cardinals fall to Devils

A rare version of Wednesday night football didn’t go Potts Camp’s way.

Tunica Academy scored on all five of its first-half possessions and beat the host Cardinals 33-12. The game was moved up due to anticipated bad weather later in the week.

“It’s hard to prepare in only two days (Monday and Tuesday),” coach Markeith Washington said, “but that was the same for them, too.

“Bottom-line, the bigger teams (losses to Lee Academy, Ark., and Tunica Academy) are giving us fits. They put a big running back behind those big linemen and just run the football  right at us. We have to assess our situation and come up with a way to combat that.”
