Byhalia teams sweep district foes

Going into the Senatobia gym and getting a win isn’t easy.

But both Byhalia teams did just that on Tuesday of last week – the girls 70-42 and the boys 63-45.

“They always play you tough at home,” said James Sales, head coach of the Indians. “I will take an 18-point victory in that gym.”

His Byhalia team used a strong defensive effort in the second half to knock off the Warriors, a District 2-4A opponent.

“We played much better in the second half, particularly defensively,” He said. “That is what we’ve been working on – getting better on the defensive end.”
