Byhalia sweeps Hernando

Class 4A Byhalia basketball teams hosted 6A Hernando Friday night and had no problems as they played up in classification.
The Byhalia girls, ranked fourth in the state in 4A, breezed to a 67-42 win over Hernando in the opener.
The Lady Indians started the game on a 12-3 run. At the end of the first quarter, they were up 22-10. Kavacia Johnson scored 13 points and Tiyanna Powell added six for Byhalia in this frame. Alyssa Greer contributed five for Hernando.
