Byhalia splits with Southaven

The Byhalia Lady Indians needed a wake-up call at home versus Southaven November 14.

Shaquira Caradine provided it.

She hit three consecutive threes late in the second quarter and the Lady Indians went up by seven at the half. They went on to a double-digit win over the Lady Chargers, 58-43.

“Shaquira knocked down those threes, and it really sparked us,” coach James Sales said. “Everybody was playing with more energy.

“We started executing better on the offensive end, getting some points inside the paint, and that momentum carried over to the second half.”
