Byhalia Lady Indians claim district championship

The Byhalia Lady Indians “trusted the process,” according to head coach James Sales.

With their backs against the wall after losing Dandy Dozen player Shay Johnson to injury late in the regular season, the Lady Indians saw their continued hard work pay off Friday night. Coach Sales’ squad left Corinth with the Region 1-4A championship trophy.

In the title contest, third-seeded Byhalia defeated first-seeded Ripley 45-35.
