Byhalia drops district contests to New Albany

The Byhalia Indians had 10 hits at home Thursday but couldn’t pull out the win.

“We just couldn’t string together what we needed to produce enough runs,” coach Hunter Gore said.

The Indians dropped a 6-2 decision to Region 1-4A opponent New Albany. It was their second loss of the week to the Bulldogs.

Kyle Edwards led the offensive attack in the four-run loss. He had three hits, including a pair of doubles.

Jacob Edwards added two hits. Getting one hit each were Gavin Edwards, Dylan Edwards, Jacob Malone, Duston Grisham and George Yarbrough.
