Holly Springs let one slip away late Friday night at Tishomingo County.
The Hawks led 6-0 in the fourth quarter but the Braves cashed in a Holly High turnover and won 7-6.
“The kids were upset; it was a tough way to lose,” coach Donald Deans said. “But that’s part of life.
“We have to keep working hard. District games start this week, and we have to focus on that.”
Joshua Kimble carried 66 yards to the end zone in the first half to give the Hawks the advantage.
