Baseball, football camps to be held at MA

Marshall Academy is hosting two upcoming youth sports camps. The All-Skills Baseball Camp will be held May 27-30 from 8 a.m. To 11:30 a.m. At the Patriot Baseball Field, 100 Academy Drive, Holly Springs. The camp is for rising kindergarten through sixth graders, and participants do not have to be MA students. The cost for the camp, led by Marshall Head Coach Dustin Skelton, is $100, and the fee is payable on the first day of camp. The Marshall Academy Patriots Youth Football Camp is scheduled for July 15-17 from 5:30 p.m. To 7:30 p.m. At the practice field. The camp is for rising first graders through sixth graders, and participants do not have to be MA students.

Cost of the camp is $60, payable by cash or check. Onsite registration will be held the first day of camp, Tuesday, July 15, at 5 p.m. New MA Head Coach Chris Bunio will lead the camp.

A tentative daily schedule includes Day 1 – offensive and defensive fundamentals; skills testing; kicking and returning; Day 2 – fundamentals, techniques and drills; punt, pass and kick competition; and Patriot ultimate football; Day 3 – fundamentals; Patriot obstacle course; and flag football game. Campers will work at all positions on offense and defense.

Campers should bring football cleats or athletic shoes, shorts, T-shirt and water bottle (water will be provided).
