Ballard brings championship culture to Byhalia
After winning just one game in 2022, the Byhalia Indians made a move to bring in some help to get their program back on track. The Indians hired the former Noxubee County assistant coach Deangelo Ballard.
Ballard has multiple championships on his resume. He said he would make sure his Indians work hard every day if they want to be successful.
The Indians open the 2023 year, moving up to division 4A. The top players to watch on the field are Ashton Franklin, Malik Perkins, Kaleb Luse, and Dayvin Jones.
“Byhalia has a fairly young team and I fully expect them to grow throughout the season,” said Ballard.
The Indians kick off the season on the road to play a county rival, H.W. Byers, on August 25, beginning at 7 p.m.
