Anita Barnett and Nancy Jones celebrate birthdays with family and friends

Happiest “half a century” birthdays to Anita Barnett and Nancy Jones. Both ladies celebrated last week. Here’s to many, many more!

Mary Ann Hurdle and Julie DeBardeleben went to see Steve Martin and Martin Short at the Orpheum in Memphis, Tenn., last week. They had a fabulous dinner of steamed bass at Tsunami Restaurant on South Cooper.

Kay Wheeler and I spent the weekend in Cleveland,  with Caitlyn Brooks and Trace Bray. We made a pit stop McCarty’s pottery in Merigold on the way. Melanie and Marty Bray hosted us Sunday for lunch. We tried a new restaurant, The Levee Break, as well as Airport Grocery and Lost Pizza. We had a wonderful time!

Congratulations to Will Hangii and Drayton Potts. They won the corn hole tournament at Marshall Steakhouse Sunday!

A great time was had at the political rally in Southaven last week. President Donald Trump gave a riveting speech, speaking for over an hour. Michele Stuber and Lisa and Mike McCarter were quoted by several media outlets. Midge Bagwell, John Stuber, Karah Nicholson and I sat together. Michele made sure we had front row floor seats, which was fantastic! An experience of a lifetime for all of us for sure.
