Caitlyn Brooks gives Melanie and Marty Bray tour of the city

Melanie and Marty Bray of Cleveland and Caitlyn Brooks came Saturday and spent the day touring around Holly Springs. They looked at the First Presbyterian Church, Kate Freeman Clark Art Gallery, the cottages at Kirkwood and Wall Doxey State Park. They were treated to a world famous Phillips burger for lunch. The group enjoyed meandering around Retro Rooster on the square, as well.

Ben and Ann Seale and children, Ayden and Hallie, of Jackson, were the weekend guests of Ben and Robin Seale. While here, they also got to visit with Hamilton Moriarty, who is visiting from Bentonville, Ark.

Once again, the city did not disappoint with the Fourth of July bash on the square. The Holly Springs Main Street Chamber had Bobby Rush as the blues performer kicking off the summer music series. The square was elbow to elbow, biggest crowd I have seen up there probably ever. The fireworks display was gorgeous, rising above the buildings with our water tower in the shadows. Kudos to another fantastic holiday bringing together all of our town!
