Amanda Barnett celebrates Sweet 16

Midge Bagwell has toured the countryside for the past week. She went to Gonzales, La., for her granddaughters’ (Emma and Grace Bagwell) graduation with honors from East Ascension High School. She then attended a huge graduation party at the Venue in St. Amant. She went to the East Ascension High School football scrimmage where she watched her grandson, Ethan Bagwell, play. She was wined and dined by her oldest two, Michael and Dustin Bagwell and then on to Grand Bay, Ala., for dinner and boating Sunday and Monday. She stayed Tuesday in Grand Bay to see her grandson Sam’s last soccer game. Her presence sure has been missed!

Biggest of Happy Birthday wishes to Amanda Barnett, who had a Sweet 16 party at their family cabin in Benton County. Friends and family rode trails all afternoon on four wheelers and went pond swimming. Here’s to many more for this beautiful young lady!

Caitlyn Brooks and Trace Bray, of Cleveland, were the weekend guests of Kay and Laura Wheeler. While here, they treated Kay and Mary Clay Brooks to a wonderful Mother’s Day supper at Law’s Hill Fish Shack Saturday night.

Leigh Douglas and Gail Wilkes were the guests of Stefanie and Charlie Douglas for a few days this week in Flowood. They attended the high school graduation of Leigh’s granddaughter, Caroline Grace Douglas, from East Rankin High School. Caroline Grace will continue her education at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg in the fall.
