Margaret Ann Barruel celebrates birthday

Birthday wishes to Margaret Ann Barruel! She celebrated Saturday night with a dinner surrounded by friends and family. Here’s to many, many more!

Lauren Mitchell and son, Henry, of New York City were guests of Vicki and Walter Webb.

Katy Barbour of Nashville, Tenn., has been the guest of her aunt, Margaret Ann Barruel.

A big thank you to the senior Marshall Academy Patriots for a wonderful football season! Friday night, their quest for the state title was snuffed by the Rebels of Tri-County. Amidst rain and several lightning delays, the Patriots just could not regain the momentum they carried the first half. A super big shoutout to Mitchell Lafever, who gutted it out with a torn ACL injury one last game. It was a fabulous ride, boys. Thank you for the memories under the Friday night lights!

Thursday is the annual Holly Springs holiday open house around the square. Be sure to go out and mingle in our local businesses. Now is the time to get a jump start on your Christmas shopping!

If you have not purchased tickets for the Belles and Books luncheon, which coincides with the Holly Springs holiday tour of homes December 2, there are still some seats available. There are two seating options, 11 a.m., and 1 p.m.. This year’s menu is sure to be a crowd pleaser and, as always, the centerpieces on the tables will be breathtaking and unique.
