Cathryn Miller Richey honored with Teacher of Distinction

Jane and Charlie Farris attended the Ole Miss - Cal game Saturday. The couple stayed in San Fransciso, Calif. The day of the game, they ate lunch at the new Graduate Hotel in Berkeley. The venue had turned their parking lot into The Grove, so Rebels felt right at home.

Congratulations to Cathryn Miller Richey of Tupelo. The Tupelo Public School District recognizes several teachers and assistants each year for the honor of Teacher of Distinction. The recipients are nominated by their students, parents and peers. There is an outside election committee which narrows down the list and chooses those honored. She is a special education teacher at Joyner Elementary in Tupelo, where she has been teaching for the past seven years. Cathryn is the wife of Drew Richey and mother to two beautiful children, Maia and Graham.

Friday night, the Marshall Academy Patriots hosted a new conference team, Central Holmes. The game was completely one-sided, with the Patriots locking a solid win, final score 62-24. They are on the road this week, travelling to Winona for another conference game.
