‘Palettes and Prosecco’ held at Art Gallery

Holly Springs was abuzz all weekend with fantastic events. Saturday, the grounds of Montrose were covered with bikers decked out in pink. This is their 15th anniversary of riding from the West Cancer Center and Research in Germantown, Tennessee to Rosemary Beach, Florida. The trek takes them five days, riding over 500 miles. The purpose of their yearly ride is to draw attention to cancer awareness. Their pit stop at Montrose has become tradition. They get treated to lunch and visit with ones here who also advocate for cancer awareness.

Monday evening, Suzanne Farese led ladies at the Kate Freeman Clark Art Gallery in “Palettes and Prosecco”. Attendees were treated to a beautiful meal prepared by Bea Green and Vicki Webb. Artificial pumpkins were placed at everyone’s seat, along with paints and brushes. The ladies were instructed on how to paint a fun chinoiserie pagoda scene. Aubrey Morris and Karah Nicholson assisted anyone who had questions or needed a little help. What a great event with the proceeds going to maintain the gorgeous gallery. Keep your eyes peeled for more fantastic events to be held.

Saturday night, Montrose was the scene of a Grand Magnolia Gala. Party goers, dressed to the nines, delved into a murder mystery. The entire evening was centered around solving a crime with every guest playing their part. They were served a succulent meal accompanied by a signature cocktail. An absolute blast was had by everyone who attended. More mysteries are being discussed to have again. Every penny made goes towards the ongoing restoration of Montrose.
