Nancy Jones spent a few days in Collinsville, Oklahoma, with her precious Ha r l ow. She was the guest of Brittany and Jake Jones.

Congratulations to the Marshall Academy Varsity boys basketball team. They swept the district tournament, which was held at Kirk Academy in Grenada. The boys handily put Kirk in their place Saturday to win the championship game. The varsity girls fell short in their championship game against the lady Raiders, taking second place in district.

The battle for North Half starts this week at Clarksdale Lee Academy. Both teams advanced, so if you are in the mood for some good ball, it is worth the short trip to Clarksdale! Good luck to both teams and their coaches, Jeff Dalton and Michael Clifton. Bring it on home.

Brooks Davis, Nell Dodson and Jude Wells along with their families enjoyed the Memphis Zoo this past Saturday. A tiring, but fun, time was had by all.
