Lady Patriots come out swinging; Pats travel to Clarksdale for football

The Marshall Academy Lady Patriots softball team came out Monday, bats swinging,  against district foe Carroll Academy. It was a great day for some yellow ball, as the Lady Patriots tromped all over the Rebels from Carroll with a shutout 13-0 final. What an amazing season these ladies have in front of them!

Get well wishes go out to Paxton Clark, grandson of Grace Bonds, who has been sick this past week.

Good luck to the Marshall Patriots football team as they travel to the Mississippi Delta this week to play Clarksdale Lee. Parents and fans travelled over the weekend to the Cromton Bowl in Montgomery, Ala., to watch the boys take the field in a pre-season scrimmage. They were outmatched in their game against a large team out of Thomasville, Ga.
