Locals attend performance at Heindl Center

The Vienna Boys Choir is on their USA tour with stops in New York, Chicago, St. Louis and Senatobia. Irene Strickland, Maia Miller, Patti Carlisle and Robin Seale attended their performance at the Heindl Center for the Performing Arts over the weekend. What a way to kick off the Christmas season.

Friday night, the Marshall Academy Patriots traveled to Louisiana and took care of business, stomping Riverfield Academy to catapult them into the State Championship game this week. The Patriots have not been in a state football championship game since 2013 when, sadly, they came up short. Thursday night, this group of young men have an opportunity to push past district foe, Kirk Academy. No doubt it will be an all out brawl on the gridiron at Jackson Academy Thursday night at 7 p.m. Hopefully our bunch has the determination and grit to come out ahead with the win. The game will be live streamed on www.msais.org. Click on the MAIS network tab at top to view game. If you are not traveling to Jackson, tune in and cheer for these young men who have worked hard to get here. Go get it, Patriots.
