Friends honor Carey Crain

Delilah Jane Bray, daughter of Caitlyn and Trace, turned three years old Sunday. There was a party, Young, Wild and Three, honoring her Saturday. Family and friends gathered with Delilah Jane to enjoy her special day. It is hard for me to believe this sweet little thing is three years old. I remember every second of sitting in the parking lot of the hospital waiting on her to arrive. I am so unbelievably envious of all Grands who get to see their new additions hours after they have been born. Covid took a lot from every one of us, but that milestone has to be the worst one by far and large. Happiest of birthdays to Delilah Jane.

Sunday afternoon, a large group of friends gathered in the home of Robin Seale to bid farewell to Carey Crain.

Carey is moving to the Collierville/Germantown area. She will be so missed by all who know her but it is comforting she will be just a short car ride away.

She has been a constant in Holly Springs for as long as I can remember. She taught multiple generations of students at Marshall Academy…there long enough to teach one group and later, their children. A true testament to the dedication Carey had for her subject area and most especially her beloved students.

Carey’s group of friends presented her with a photographic rendering of her home (by Phillip Knect) to take on her next adventure. The corner of Chulahoma and Memphis will never be the same again.

Taylor Blaker had an exceptionally amazing trip to Louisville, Ky., over the weekend. Not only did she get to watch some incredible golf at the PGA Championship, Reece Stephens dropped to one knee and proposed. Congratulations to the beautiful couple.
