Rowan Thompson of Dallas, Texas, was the guest of Kay and Laura Wheeler last week. He came to town to enjoy the Ole Miss Rebels games against Vanderbilt and Texas A&M.

A little over a week ago, Momma had an incident where we used the ambulance service here. I have to say, they were the most kind, helpful and professional EMTs. They offered reassurance and put everyone at ease. I also need to give a shout-out to Baptist Desoto Hospital. We arrived at the ER and Momma was in a private room within the department right away. The head of the ER was her doctor and he could not have been more attentive. She had Xrays within a half an hour and they were read nearly on the spot. Efficiency and wonderful bedside manners matter in times like those. I thank everyone for having her on your prayer lists. She is in good spirits and moving to rehab soon (physical therapy rehab).
