MA Lady Patriots softball team brings home trophy

If you have social media, then you saw your feed flooded with the picture of the Marshall Academy Lady Patriots from their 4A North Half championship quest last week. The tournament was held at North Delta Academy. Sadly, softball player and student Lindy Ward died tragically just a few days prior to this picture. The Lady Patriots, who generally don red and blue, decked out in green and white, the Green Waves colors, in honor of Lindy. This special group is a class act from head to toe and represents Marshall Academy proudly.

They swept the 4A North Half tournament cinching the championship, advancing them to the 4A State Tournament. The Lady Patriots took the first two games handily and advanced to the championship series, best two out of three, this week.

They host Amite School Center Wednesday and will travel Thursday. Here is to bringing home the 4A State title for this hard working, dedicated bunch of ladies!
