Saturday night, Marshall Academy held their annual dance recital, It’s a Girl Thing, in the Frank Swords Gymnasium. Each grade was represented with a slew of young ladies dancing their hearts out. Every age group had three separate routines with outfit changes, as well. Lacy Tollison directed a fabulous show enjoyed by all who attended.

This Friday night, matriculation ends for the class 2023 at Marshall Academy. The ceremony begins at 7 p.m. in Frank Swords Gymnasium with special guest speaker, class of 1989’s own John Green of Oxford. There are a couple “like mine” in this bunch who are going to be sprouting wings and flying come August…Addison, Molly and Jack Whaley. Grateful tears are shed for being allowed to be a part of their lives. They are going to do phenomenal things in this world, as are the rest of the class of 2023. Lookout, come Saturday morning, they enter the real world. Congratulations.
