Congratulations to Margie and Brandon Havens on birth of son

Paxton Clark, son of Wynne and Josh Clark of Fulton, spent Monday night with his Glammy, Grace Bonds, and his uncle, Dunn Boatwright.

A group of Ya-Yas had a weekend get-away to Oxford. The original group included Constance Ann Lanier, who sadly is no longer with us. Becky Cupp, Bea Green, Rita (Cochran) Langus of Mobile, Ala., Mary Frances (Rather) Moore of Collierville, Tenn., and Kay Wheeler comprised the group. Thursday night, the group kicked off their festivities in Becky’s home with other friends and family. They reminisced about days gone by, the good times they had on Duck Pond Road and Holly Springs High School. The group of ladies are lifelong friends and get together regularly, keeping their bond strong.

Caitlyn Brooks of Cleveland, Miss., was the weekend guest of her parents and brother.

Tracks of Art at the Depot was a fun event over the weekend. It was fun seeing Keifer DeBerry and his beautiful array of hand-carved masks, rain sticks and his new venture of painting. It is always a treat being able to visit with him.

The kickoff of the Farmers Market on the square was a success! Local growers were well represented and those who attended were able to purchase a variety of vegetables, soaps and bath bombs. We’re looking forward to a fun-filled summer Saturday mornings while supporting our local farmers!

Congratulations to Margie and Brandon Havens on the birth of their son, Sullivant Arthur, who was born Monday. Sully was welcomed by his big sister, Dabs. Gene Brown and Margaret Jourdan are his proud grandparents.

Happy Birthday wishes go to Aaron Valentine, who flipped the big 4-0! His wife, April, hosted a surprise birthday party for him Saturday night. Crawfish and ice cold beverages were served and live music was provided for the party-goers to enjoy.
