Incredible turnout for Christmas parade

When the rest of the country was glued to the Alabama/Georgia football game late Saturday afternoon, Holly Springs was gearing up for the annual Christmas parade.

What an incredible turnout, as the square was lined with parade goers who were not disappointed with the floats, motorcycles and walkers. The Holly Springs Board of Aldermen sang “We Wish You A Merry Christmas” for the crowd, showing that they are truly in the spirit!

The Grinch even made an appearance, as well as Cousin Eddie, and the Potts Camp Fire Department showed up and out with their fire truck

Nothing gets our little piece of heaven kicked off better than our annual festive event. A huge thank you to the Main Street Chamber of Commerce and Christy Owens for putting it together, as it is a tradition everyone in this town and the surrounding areas loves!

JoAnn Bounds looked amazing, as always, as grand marshal. She has been an integral part of Holly Springs for as long as I can remember. What a honor for someone more than deserving.

Will Carlton traveled over the river and through the woods from Steamboat Springs, Colo., to visit Vicki and Walter Webb, Collier Carlton and numerous friends. Patrick and Mary Glen Carlton and children, Mary Grace and William, of Birmingham, Ala., joined in the fun for the weekend.
