Open House in Holly Springs successful; missing traditional decorations around square

Rowan Thompson of Dallas, Texas, was the recent guest of Kay and Laura Wheeler. He spent the weekend in Oxford with old college friends and attended the Ole Miss/Liberty football game.

There is no better time to be around Holly Springs than the holidays. Open House seemed to be a success all the way around with local businesses open after hours as well as Southern Eatery and Tyler Clancy offering cold weather favorites to shoppers. If being a part of that did not put you in the Christmas spirit, I do not know what will.

I always say this about this time of year - there is truly no need to shop anywhere else for everyone on your list. Every store we have in town has a variety of different gifts that would appeal to even the pickiest person on your list. Hopefully our square will have the adorable decorations we have historically had around the square that makes it look like a beautiful, small town holiday movie scene.

That is about the only thing we are lacking - everything else has come together well.
