Delilah Jane Bray was christened Sunday, October 24, at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Cleveland. Reverend Kent Bowlds performed the service at the baptismal font. Family and close friends attended the christening which was proceeded by a gathering in the home of Melanie and Marty Bray. Delilah Jane’s christening gown has been passed down generations on her maternal side. Her great-greatgrandmother, Claiborne Thompson, acquired the gown from New York to christen her first born, Little Ben, 80 years ago. It has been worn by Little Ben Thompson, Rowan Thompson, Kay Wheeler, Mary Clay Brooks, Laura Wheeler, Caitlyn Bray, Grady Brooks and now by sweet Delilah Jane.

Grady Brooks celebrated his 20 birthday with a shrimp boil supper in the home of his Baboo, Kay Wheeler, Sunday, October 24. He was surrounded by family sharing lots of laughter and love. Here’s to no longer being a ‘teen’.

Hank Wheeler of Newnan, Ga., was the weekend of guest of Mary Clay Brooks. He was in town for the christening of his greatgranddaughter, Delilah Jane Bray, and the birthday of his grandson, Grady Brooks.

Rowan Thompson of Dallas, Texas, was the weekend guest of his sister, Kay Wheeler, and niece, Laura. He was in town for the Ole Miss/LSU football game two weeks ago. While here, he was also able to attend the birthday supper for his greatnephew, Grady Brooks.
