The Burlesons spent this past weekend in Hattiesburg for the University of Southern Mississippi’s homecoming festivities and football game. Their daughter, Erin, a sophomore at USM, was the co-director of homecoming this year. She was chosen, along with her co-directors, to lead the homecoming parade. She also presented the flowers to Miss Southern Miss during the halftime show of the football game.

A large gathering of Holly Springs people were in the Grove Saturday in Oxford for the Ole Miss homecoming football game. They played SEC foe Arkansas. The football game was tit for tat until the end, with Ole Miss coming out on top. Hotty Toddy, and here is to a great rest of the season.

What a nice surprise it was running into Midge and Mike Bagwell Friday night at a party in Oxford. They moved to Daphne, Alabama, last year from Holly Springs. They have been sorely missed, but we are all working on getting them back home!
