Congratulations to the Marshall Academy Lady Patriots softball team. The girls fought hard last week against defending state champions, Clint on Christian. They fell in an international tie breaker on their home field. They traveled to Clinton Monday, as it was a best two out of three series. The girls wound up coming up with the short end of the stick, but not for lack of effort.

Happy Birthday wishes to Eddie Bain, who flipped a number. Happy half a century!

Congratulations to Katherine and Wesley Webb. They exchanged vows Saturday in Oxford.

Wow what a ride Ole Miss gave Alabama Saturday night! Who would have expected such a showing from the Rebels against an SEC powerhouse coached by Nick Saban? That game showed that no matter the odds, keep battling until the last whistle is blown! Ole Miss travels to Arkansas this week to take on the Razorbacks. Here is to hoping they keep on going all four quarters and never give up!
